New Millennium Proteins partner farm in Asia produces both standard cricket powder and defatted cricket powder. Our premium defatted powder has a higher protein content (76%) with less than half the fats, carbohydrates and fatty acids of the standard powder.  The defatted also is much better suited toward food manufacturing machinery, as there is no excess oil to create production issues.

Our premium Acheta domesticus crickets are fed a healthy diet with filtered water and raised in clean hygienic conditions. Our insects are regularly tested at a UKAS accredited lab to ensure they meet international food safety standards.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The process of converting crickets into cricket powder involves cleaning, freezing, roasting, cooling and grinding. The cricket powder is produced and processed under hygienic conditions. The crickets are processed using high heat under pressure and dried at 70 degrees for 12 hours. We pack and vacuum seal the powder in sterilized bags with oxygen absorbers.

Store in 10-25 Celsius/50-77 Fahrenheit temperatures away from direct sunlight.
